Define your tasks clearly
Don’t let your big projects overwhelm you: break them out into bite-sized pieces, where you define each smaller task clearly enough for you to start on.

Scheduling is best done on a regular basis, for example at the start of every week or month. Go through the following steps in preparing your schedule:
To improve your ability to estimate length of time for tasks, make a to-do list of upcoming tasks to complete, and jot down an off-the-cuff estimate for how long you expect each task to take. As you complete each task, record the time you actually spend on each one.
Differentiate between urgent and important tasks: an urgent task may not necessarily be important. Urgent means it needs doing right away often for someone else, important means it furthers your own goals.
Prioritising is an important aspect of time manageent. Focus on urgent and important tasks rather than those that are not important or don’t move you towards your goals. Someone who works hard and is well organised but spends all their time on unimportant tasks may be efficient but not effective.
If you find it hard starting a large project, split it down into smaller tasks. This way, you can see progress, have more small successes, and learn to manage your time better.
