It IS possible to take care of your own needs while simultaneously caring for those around you. And once your needs are met, you will likely be far more capable of helping those who need you most.
You don’t have to see the whole staircase, just take the first step.
Making changes to your life can seem daunting, especially when trying to do it all at once. Breaking things down, into smaller, more manageable chunks can really help.
Your needs matter. If you don’t value yourself, look out for yourself, and stick up for yourself, you’re sabotaging yourself.
Be honest about what’s right, as well as what needs to be changed. Be honest about what you want to achieve and who you want to become. Be honest with every aspect of your life, always.
It isn’t your problems that define you, but how you react to them and recover from them. Problems will not disappear unless you take action. Do what you can, when you can, and acknowledge what you’ve done.
We all have things we’re scared of doing which can help us move forward in our path through life. Sometimes we just need to go for it – feel the fear and do it anyway.

Use your body to help with difficult emotions. Accept they are there then breathe into them, relax large muscles and focus your eyes outwards on your environment.
