You don’t need negative thoughts. All they have ever given you is a false self that suffers for no reason.
Try giving up all the thoughts that make you feel bad, or even just some of them, for the rest of the day. See how doing that changes your life.
Notice the way others speak around you. Sometimes our peers contribute to the way we talk to ourselves. Surround yourself with people who encourage you and who have the same outlook you wish to attain.
When people undermine your dreams, predict your doom and criticise you, they’re telling you their own story, not yours. Ignore their doubts.
If you define your problem clearly, your solutions will be more abundant, of higher quality and achieved much, much more easily.
The quality of the solutions you come up with will be in direct proportion to the quality of the description of the problem you’re trying to solve.
Make a list of the positive ways you wish to think, including goals and proactive steps to achieving them. Use the list to shift your inner dialogue and remember what you are working towards.
You are meant to be different. When you accept this, there is nothing for the inner critic to complain about, and no reason to compare yourself to someone or something you aren’t.
The definition of the problem will be the focal point of all your problem-solving efforts. Start by very clearly defining the problem in its entirety.
Before jumping right into solving a problem, we should step back and invest time and effort to improve our understanding of it.
