If you have time to spare, get a hobby. Try something that relaxes you or adds benefit to your life or someone else’s. It should be something that you can enjoy and look forward to.
The brain associates similar situations which is why you are often reminded of similar events in the past. Releasing the emotional connection to a memory helps you forget and integrate the event.
If you can’t find a job, use this as your practising time. Expand your skillset and improve upon your existing skills using the time you have available productively.
You are going to have to live with your actions for the rest of your life; thinking more about the consequences before you make the decision can save yourself the regret and anguish.
Just because you haven’t done something before doesn’t mean you can’t do it. It just means you haven’t done or tried it yet.
Someone who presumes to know everything has closed themself to learning all the things they didn’t know, and have closed themself to the opportunity that brings.
If the plans you made for something don’t work out as expected, try another way. Make the best of the situation and be creative.
You are going to change and grow throughout your life, but that does not mean that your values have to change as well. Welcome new places, new faces and new loves, but never change those core parts of you unless you have strong reasons to believe you were wrong to believe them in the first place.
