If you ever get muscle cramps whilst doing an activity which puts you into danger – like swimming, cycling or driving – get yourself to a safe place as quickly as possible and call for help if you need to.
You either teach people to treat you with dignity and respect, or you don’t. You shape others’ behaviour when you teach them what they can get away with and what they cannot.
Stop asking why they keep doing it and start asking why you keep allowing it. Take responsibility for how you allow others to treat you.
