If you have a friend with an eating disorder, be there for them. Try to understand what they are going through, and don’t let it dominate your relationship – underneath it they’re still your friend.

If you are the friend of someone with an eating disorder, there is a lot you can do to help. While you shouldn’t expect to be able to make them better, being there for them can be extremely helpful, as eating disorders can be harder to bear without support.
