Never pressurise someone to make an explicit image share

You should never pressurise anyone into making an explicit image. It is against the law to take or hold an explicit image of someone under the age of 18.

All dogs must be microchipped share

From 2016 the law will require that all dogs are microchipped and wear a collar bearing a secure ID disc or waterproof tag with clear contact details of its owner. Dogs are not permitted to circulate without their owners and can be seized as a stray under such circumstances.

Is it illegal to be in possession of Legal Highs? share

If the police find you in possession of a Legal High, they will treat you as if the drug is illegal – which often means arresting you. The drug will be analysed and if found to contain an illegal drug, you will be prosecuted. If it contains a legal drug, then there are no charges.

Long-term health risks for Legal Highs are unknown; they are new and haven’t been safety tested. They are totally unregulated, and 1 in 5 contains an illegal drug.

What are Legal Highs? share

Legal Highs are drugs that have been created to mimic common drugs (like cannabis or MDMA), but are not illegal. A small change to the molecule of an illegal drug can make it “legal”.

Why is sexting illegal? share

You can face prosecution if you are over 10 years old and caught sexting if the person in the photo is under 18, as it is “distributing an indecent image of a child”.

Anyone under 18 “sexting” (texting sexually explicit pictures) could be committing an offence, despite 16 and 17-year-olds being legally old enough to have sex.

What does the law state about leaving a dog in a hot car? share

In the UK, if a dog suffers or dies as a result of being left in a hot car, their owner or caregiver can be prosecuted for neglect or cruelty under the Animal Welfare Act 2006. Successful prosecution for neglect or cruelty can lead to jail time, fines and being banned from keeping animals in the future.
