In a car crash you are twice as likely to die if you don’t wear a seatbelt. Drivers with no seatbelt face on-the-spot fines of £60. If prosecuted, the maximum fine is £500.

Respect Yourself Fundraising Childrens Christmas Party

We’re hosting a children’s Christmas party in Hethersett Village Hall for 0-8 year olds, 4:30-6:30pm on Wednesday 14th December, to raise funds to continue sending texts out. It’s £5 including a party tea, there will be activities and a DJ, so please get in touch with us if you want a place.

It is illegal to drop litter

Anyone that drops litter in a public place is committing a crime and they can be fined under the Environmental Protection Act 1990 and the Clean Neighbourhoods and Environment Act. The fine is between £50 – £80, and if not paid a magistrates’ court can impose a fine of up to £2,500.
