To be beautiful means to be yourself
“To be beautiful means to be yourself. You don’t need to be accepted by others. You need to accept yourself.” – Thich Nhat Hanh
Your experience of feelings will adapt, change and grow throughout your entire life – after puberty, in your 20’s, 30’s, after marriage, relationships, children, divorce and so on. All these life experiences change your understanding of feelings and your priorities.
Be kind to yourself. Loving yourself and valuing your own feelings is important.
When teaching your children about sex, periods, life, money, jobs and so on, make sure you discuss the emotional side as well as all the practical advice.
