What is self-harm an expression of?
Self-harming is usually an outward demonstration of an inner turmoil, trauma or crisis – a method of coping with difficult emotions.
Whatever someone did to you in the past has no power over the present. Only you give it power.
Everyone makes mistakes each day – so allow yourself to. Recognise the failure and turn it into an opportunity to create something better, which will build trust and respect with others.

Hi everyone, I’m a Spanish, 17 years old who suffers from agoraphobia and Respect Yourself has given me the chance of sharing this experience with all of you so if you are agoraphobic too you can see you’re not the only one, in fact we are a lot and I’m sure all of us will overcome this sooner or later.
Next time you are tired or unwell, take a moment to notice how you feel mentally, emotionally and physically. This helps you recognise the sensations so you can do something about it.
Spend more time sharing the good news than gossiping about the bad. Notice the effect it has on your mood and the quality of your relationships.
