Learn to love your Self – the only person you can guarantee will be with you at all times through all situations for all of your life.
Wherever you go, there You are. In every relationship and every situation, there You are again. You are always present with your Self.
If you feel something negative about yourself and someone else says it, do you think it must be true? Other people are NOT the authority on you – you are!
Be the difference that makes the difference. You have it within you.
Each child/young person may respond differently to experiencing or witnessing domestic abuse, some common long-term effects are: anxiety, depression, withdrawal, nightmares, bed wetting, low self esteem, aggressive behaviour, eating disorders, underachieving at school.
Don’t form your opinion of yourself based on what someone else thinks of you.
No matter how much progress you make there will always be the people who insist that whatever you’re trying to do is impossible. People aren’t always right :)
If you don’t want to do something that your friends want you to do, you can choose not to do it. You shouldn’t have to do anything that you don’t want to do. If they are really your friends they should respect you and not make you do things that make you uncomfortable.
We cannot control what other people do or say. If you cannot control it, don’t let it upset you. Take control of your own happiness by choosing how you let situations and people affect you emotionally.
